Mmeltdowns were a popular brand of candy produced by Veidt Enterprises.

History

Mmeltdowns were advertised for its "fruity fallout and delicious molten center".^[1] Advertisements of the candy were visible throughout the streets of New York City.

After the advent of the 11/2 Psychic Shockwave, Mmeltdowns were later replaced by that of Sunbursts candies.^[2] This change mirrors the shadow of nuclear war over the people while it lasted, and afterwards the renewed interest about space and an imminent alien attack.

Trivia

• It's made obvious in the graphic novel that Mmeltdowns are a product of Veidt Enterprises, who's change to Sunbursts was done deliberately in order to manipulate the change of interests of the buying market similar to the way the company altered Nostalgia to Millennium.
