The Yamata no Cloud (ヤマタノクラウド) is an eight-headed reptilian creature that lives in the clouds of the Hungry Triangle.
Anatomy
While most of the body is covered, its heads have dark purple scales with white undersides. It has a purple frill with a membrane protecting the back of its head and parts of its neck. There are various small spikes protruding from its lower jaw, behind its eyes, and underneath its frills. Its eye glow yellow, and are located on the end of its snout.
Behavior
While not much is seen of its behavior, it was extremely agressive when hunting, snapping at its prey with all eight heads.
History
Toriko the Movie: Bishokushin's Special Menu
When Toriko, Komatsu, Terry, Rin, and Teppei were heading to Acacia's Kitchen, they employed Tom to fly them there with a mach helicopter. As they entered the Hungry Triangle, the came across a cloud shout who attempted to eat them. Tom skillfully avoided the creature, but quickly ran into a Yamata no Orochi where he then proceeded to dodge all of its snapping heads before losing it.

- Its name is a reference to the Yamata no Orochi in Japanese myths.
