The Cumulonimbus Clouds, also known as Rain Clouds and Thunder Clouds, are gigantic dense clouds with a maximum height of 10,000 meters and are usually associated with instability in the atmosphere due to their production of dangerous thunderstorms. They are very common in the highest point of the Sky Plant and act as the last obstacle before entering Vegetable Sky, and the cumulonimbus clouds that dwell here are so lively and dangerous that they are considered "Beast Clouds".
An unstable atmosphere can quickly become an updraft and give rise to a Cumulonimbus Cloud. In the fastest cases, a Cumulonimbus Cloud will form completely within a few minutes.
Despite their beautiful appearance when there are concentrated heavy rains and lightning bolts, they can form tornadoes and thus are extremely dangerous clouds. Also, because of the turbulence they cause in the upper atmosphere, even large scale aircraft can be in danger of being brought down if they come too close. Highly dangerous Cumulonimbus Clouds can even appear to be alive, resembling predators waiting to annihilate anything they see, thus, they are truly "Beast Clouds". Downbursts also take place within these clouds.
Lightning Phoenixes live primarily within thunderous clouds such as these, which makes capturing or even seeing one all the more difficult.
