These are rare sound effects that are not available on the Universal Studios Sound Effects Library. They were created by either sound designer James R. Alexander or Kevin F. Cleary, and they debuted in the 1977 horror movie, The Car, for the horn on the titular car.
The horn that is heard in these recordings is a Grover 1700-1748 air horn; a type of horn that was common for 18-wheelers, semi's and other trucks to wear back then.
