Tangiwai: A Love Story is a 2011 drama-romance television film that was made by Lippy Pictures, and directed by Charlie Haskell for Television New Zealand. It follows the love story between Bob Blair and Nerissa Love (played by Ryan O'Kane and Rose McIver respectively), and the Tangiwai rail disaster that would occur on the night of Christmas Eve in 1953.
Storyline
True love meets tragedy when a budding romance between legendary cricketer, Bob Blair and his fiancée, Nerissa Love, is cut short by the one of the biggest train disasters of the 20th century.
