This sound effect can be found on the Hanna-Barbera Sound Effects Library, which was made by Sound Ideas. It was originally an MGM sound effect which debuted in the Droopy Dog cartoon "One Droopy Knight", before Hanna-Barbera picked it up in 1958. It is nearly identical to EXPLOSION, CARTOON - TRENCH MORTAR EXPLOSION from the Hanna-Barbera Lost Treasures Sound Effects Library.
