Sophie's Magic Diary (Korean: 소피의 마법일기) is a web series created by Korean animator Hyeonji Park. The series carries a simpler form of animation and much basic design compared to her other works, which appear fluid in comparison.

The series is a slice-of-life romance that revolves around the daily life of a timid middle-schooler named Sophie, and her friend, an occult fairy under the guise of a Maltese dog named Maru, whom only she can see. Sophie's mission is to get close to her crush, a normal boy who is only referred to as Him, only to end up failing in various ways, including Maru's pranking and the actions of the people around her, most notably Him's friend, Big Boy. While the love line originally consisted of just Sophie and Him, it would begin to expand in further episodes, as after an embarrassing encounter, Big Boy attempts to catch Sophie's heart by helping her in various tasks such as cleaning and games of dodgeball, much to Sophie's frustration who thinks that they are ways to keep her away from Him. Additionally, a fellow female student, the Idol Girl, would end up falling in love with him upon seeing his back, thus causing the love line to be shaped like a quadrilateral. Not all episodes, however, are about the relationships of the four students. At occasion, certain episodes would revolve around their life, mostly Sophie's. Other episodes would have a song that fits their theme, while others would have no plot whatsoever. Setting Various signs in the show's episodes, alongside the My Magical Romance music video, indicate that the show takes place somewhere in South Korea, which is where Malgang resides. However, there is no clue given as to where exactly in South Korea does the show's events take place at. The show's locations are limited, with most of the episodes taking place inside the campus of the school that Sophie, Him, Big Boy and Idol Girl enroll at. Another recurring location is Sophie's house, of which not much has been seen yet besides her bedroom.
