Skibidi Toilet is a 2023 Georgian machinima animated web series created by YouTuber and animator Alexey Gerasimov, better known as DaFuq!?Boom! for YouTube. The series is solely produced by Alexey himself. The series follows the conflict between singing human-headed toilets—the titular "Skibidi Toilets"—and a large group of Mechanical Cyborgs and Sentient Robots with CCTV cameras, speakers, and televisions in place of their heads called The Alliance. the Skibidi Toilets, and their leader G-Man, threaten humanity and had conquered the world and latter antagonists, the Astro Toilets would soon appear in the series, and it is up to the Alliance to stop the toilets to save the world.
The first episode came out on February 7, 2023, as a 10-second YouTube short. The show was initially only created as a joke video by its creator but had since become one of the most popular web series on the platform. The series has aired 79 episodes and 25 seasons.
Episodes will usually come out within 5-14 days. They are then grouped into a season, consisting of 3 episodes each (excluding seasons 1 and 2, which had 4). Due to the 60-second limit YouTube only allowing each of the episodes are cut by a fraction; so, it is recommended to watch them individually. Some earlier episodes (etc. 1-5) have a full-screen form in DaFuq!?Boom!'s main videos, revealing hidden details that could not make it in Shorts. Prior to Episode 39, episodes were exclusively in short form and had shorter runtimes, these shorts would come out almost daily. Ever since Episode 39, full-screen versions of episodes are released before the short-form versions of the episodes. The episodes are largely dialogue-free with older episodes only having lyrics from the Skibidi Toilet's and Speakermen's respective anthems. Cryptic, reversed lines were later implemented with the introduction of the TV Faction and the Secret Agent's monologue in later episodes.
The series began to surge in popularity in YouTube Shorts as more episodes were produced and released garnering tens of millions of views per episode, some exceeding hundreds of millions. The series is predominantly famous among Generation Alpha (2010-2024) due to its eye-catching animations, character designs and fast paced nature. As of November 2023, YouTube videos associated with Skibidi Toilet accumulated over 65 billion views.
