This is a Skywalker Sound sound effect. It was created by Randy Thom, and it debuted in the 2004 motion-capture animated Christmas film, The Polar Express (2004).

  • Despicable Me (2010) (Slightly lower volume; heard once when Gru opens the door to the minions' lair before telling the minions that they don't have any money and that they won't be able to get to the moon.)
  • The Polar Express (2004) (Debut; used once for the firebox door of the locomotive clanking open and shut after the characters have dealt with the herd of Caribou.)
  • Robots (2005)
