Plankton: The Movie is a 2025 computer-animated musical film based on Nickelodeon's hit TV show SpongeBob SquarePants. It is directed by Dave Needham and produced by Robert Bakish from a screenplay by Doug Lawrence, Kaz and Chris Viscardi. Produced by Nickelodeon Movies, it was officially released on Netflix on March 7, 2025. It had also been leaked on August 8, 2024 (which lead to an early premiere in Iran), along with several other movies and shows on Netflix, including Spellbound, That Christmas, and Jentry Chau vs. The Underworld.
