Minoru Akao (赤尾実 Akao Minoru) is a sound programmer, formerly employed at Square Enix. This "Sound Expert" joined the company in 1991 and programmed the sound drivers used in nearly all of Square's internally developed games from that point until 2006 when he left to join Platinum Games and AlphaDream.
Akao doesn't generally use cartoon sound libraries, but he mainly used them for Mario & Luigi: Dream Team while working at its now-defunct developer AlphaDream.
