An image of Megaguirus.
Megaguirus’ roar was a sound effect created by Toho’s sound designers for the 2000 film Godzilla vs. Megaguirus. Instead of relying on a real biological animal, they crafted the shrill, high-pitched, and piercing insectoid calls by combining and heavily modifying recordings of chirping crickets and other small insects.
In the Atari game Godzilla: Save the Earth Megaguirus mistakenly uses one of Megalon's roars during certain attacks. The mistake likely stems from both having the word "Mega" in their names.
