Hydee and the Hytops: The Movie is a 2011 flash-animated direct-to-video movie directed by Davis Doi and produced by SD Entertainment in association with Sketchers Entertainment and Maslen Entertianment. The special is based on the shoe line created by Sketchers. This special is the most recent project produced by SD Entertainment. As of 2025, the studio still exists, but hasn't produced any animated productions, either television or film (direct-to-video or theatrical).
Storyline
Hydee is an aspiring singer with hometown dreams of big time stardom. With her BFFs Samantha on Bass, Mariko on guitar, and Charlotte and drums. They are the local pop sensation "Hydee and the Hytops". If they enter and win the "So Stellar" Talent contest, their dreams of success and fame might come true. If only it were that easy. Along the way they'll have to contend with a boring teacher, a 20 foot tall samurai, a rival band of bullies, a glass sneaker, homework, sabatoge, plagiarism, scandalous graffiti, fashion emeregencies, and of course getting Hydee's big brother to drive them to the show on time! Hydee and the Hytops know that friendship and music are the tops in their first animated debut.
