This is a Skywalker Sound sound effect created by Ben Burtt for the Wampa in Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (1980). It should not be confused with both Sound Ideas, ELEPHANT - VARIOUS SNORTS, GROWLS, TRUMPETS, ANIMAL and Jurassic Park, T-Rex - Exclamation Roar, which were also used for the roars of the Wampa. It also consists of Sound Ideas, CAT, TIGER - GROWLS, MEDIUM DISTANT, LOW GROWLS, FIERCE SNARLS, ANIMAL and SKYWALKER, CREATURE - SCREECHING.
