Southern Pacific 6 chime whistle

the Southern Pacific 6 chime whistle, the whistle probably used in the recording and sound effects.

This is a Disney sound effect that is not available on the Cartoon Trax Volume 1. Many believed that the whistle came from the Southern Pacific 6 Chime from Chesapeake & Ohio class J-3-A #614. However, it's unlikely that it came from #614, because that engine would be built in 1948, six years after the debut of the sound. The whistle most likely came from a Southern Pacific 6 Chime from Southern Pacific #2472 or any other engine with that kind of whistle in those years.

There are clean versions of the sound effect that can be found in two sifferent sound effect vinyls, one made by "Childcraft Records" and the other by "Columbia Records". both are known by almost the same names but with sighly different content.

But since these recordings have sound effects taken from other sources either Major Records or from other unknown companies and mixed up to be used as background sounds in model railroads, there is still the doubt where it came from.
