An Image of Destoroyah.
Destoroyah's roar is one of the most distinctive and terrifying sounds in the Godzilla franchise, characterized by being a high-pitched, metallic, and screeching sound that reflects its nature as a creature composed of millions of organisms mutated by the Oxygen Destroyer.
Unlike Godzilla's atomic breath, Destoroyah's roar is described as a menacing, sharp mix that reflects its evil nature and crustacean evolution.
It has been theorized which the sound designers used effects similar to a distorted elephant or even processed pig squeals to achieve that unsettling texture. According to discussions between fans and technicians, the roar was created from modified sounds, often mentioning the use of the Muruchi monster's roar (from Ultraman) at the background, slowed down and lower pitched.
