This is a custom sound effect created by the sound designers of Crashbox Tim Gedemer and Alan Schlaifer. It was used in the show at the end of each episode during the recaps in Crashbox Rewind. The origin of the sound is currently unknown, but when slowed down, it seems to play a war documentary that originated sometime between 1998 and January 1999 due to one of these samples also including Sound Ideas, ALARM - BATTLE STATIONS: LOUD ELECTRONIC ALARM, SCI FI 01.
