Columbia Studio - Takayama Line Evening Bell and Train (C-11)

This is a sound effect that can be found on Steam locomotive galloping (Japanese: 蒸気機関車驀進) which was made by Columbia Studio. The whistle heard in the sound effect is a Japanese National Railways 5 chime whistle from a Japanese National Railways Class C11 locomotive. it was re-released in September 21 of 1990.

The whistle was first thought to be from locomotive C61-20 but it was disproved later.

It is said that the JNR C11 whistle was from unit no. 274, but this can be true or not.
