This is an rare anime sound effect that used in Kikansha Yaemon (2009). The whistle came from Japanese National Railway 5 chime and it was initially sourced off from JNR C58-239. However, It's unlikely that JNR C58-239 wasn't in operations in 2009. And, It was most likely sourced off from another JNR class C58 (C58-363) when it operated.
