A picture of CB&Q No. 4990, (the engine that was first thought to be the responsible for the recording) racing with the Silver Streak.
this is a sound effect that can be found on the Major Records Sound Effects Library made by Valentino Music Company. it was used extensively for Engine No. 2 as well as Engine No. 77 (But in a high pitch) and Engine No. 75/5 (But in a low pitch) in The Brave Engineer. The whistle that is heard in this sound effect is from an unknown engine, but it was first thought to be from Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad steam locomotive No. 4990.
There’s other version of this sound effect with the same name but in the side two of this vinyl. The only difference is that this version is even more cleaner than this one.
