This is an anime sound effect that was used in Galaxy Express 999 and DokiDoki Pretty Cure. The whistle came from a Japanese National Railway 5 chime whistle that was recorded from JNR C62-3 while departing from the station. It's unknown if this sound was recorded in 1988 or 1990.
