This sound effect was made in 1991 for the Roland L-CD701 Rhythm Section archive sample library for the Roland S-770 and S-750 samplers. It was later resampled — albeit looped short — for the Roland JV-1080 synth, which was released in January 1994 and succeeded by the JV-2080 three years later and discontinued altogether in February 2000 in favor of the Roland XV-5080.
