Storyline

Shelly has been having a recurring dream. She stands on a comedy stage and testifies the frustrations of being the sole caretaker for her aging mother who has Alzheimer's disease. Unfortunately, Shelly's waking hours are not much better. Her mother is deteriorating and Shelly cannot find anything funny anymore. But when Shelly is spurred by memories of her childhood, she realizes that in order to cope with her situation, she needs to rediscover the humor within it.
