Bob the Builder: Mega Machines is a feature length special from the 2015 series of Bob the Builder. It was released on May 27, 2017 in the UK and November 21, 2017 in the US.
This is the only Bob the Builder special to be animated by Mainframe Studios and the latest Bob the Builder special to be released before the Bob the Builder franchise went on hiatus for the second time in 2019. A new Bob the Builder reboot series with the return of the original designs from 1999 is yet to be announced. As for example, another new Bob the Builder special with the return of the original designs from 1999 which will be a pilot of a new Bob the Builder reboot series is yet to be announced.

Storyline
Scoop, Muck, Lofty and the rest of the gang can't wait to help Bob with his biggest build ever – building a dam and transforming an old quarry into a reservoir to provide Spring City with fresh water. Bob enlists the help of another builder, Conrad, to help clear the quarry – along with his three enormous Mega Machines, Thud, Crunch and Ace. Conrad, secretly resentful that he lost out on the dam-building contract to Bob, plots to undermine his rival's reputation and sabotages the dam. Soon Bob realizes that things are not as they should be… and that it’s up to him and his team to save Spring City!
