Super Mario Bros. Z is a fan-made, sprite-based animated web series based on the Super Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog franchises, serving as a crossover between the two. It was developed in the early 2000s and uploaded to Newgrounds between 2006 and 2009, under the direction of animator Mark Haynes.
Synopsis
A robot named Mecha Sonic is determined to become the most powerful being in the universe. The five heroes—Mario, Luigi, Sonic, Shadow and Yoshi—race to find seven Chaos Emeralds that will grant their user unlimited power.
