The series was a Dutch-Japanese co-production, written and designed in The Netherlands, and animated in Japan. The sound design was also done in Japan, and as a result, it features numerous sound effects that are normally only heard in anime. The sound design was done by Kazutoshi Sato of E&M Planning Center, who was credited in the Japanese version.
