The game uses a 3rd-person perspective, inventory-based puzzle solving, and horizontally scrolling cartoon graphics. 3 Skulls of the Toltecs sold 200,000 copies throughout Europe and 25,000 copies in Spain.

Sound Effects Used

This game mostly uses sound effects from Series 4000 Hollywood Sound Effects Library, along with sound effects from the Warner Bros. Sound Effects Library. Some of sound effects were borrowed from various LucasArts adventure games like Day of The Tentacle and Sam & Max Hit the Road.
