Жуки (eng. Zhuki) is a popular Russian comedy-adventure television series produced by Comedy Club Production (TNT). The series was filmed in the village of Nizhny Podgorichi in the Peremyshlsky district of the Kaluga region and in the vicinity of the local church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker. The premiere took place on September 2, 2019 on TNT. On September 25, 2019, a film about the movie "Bugs. Behind the scenes." On October 22, 2019, the series was officially renewed for a second season. On July 2, 2020, filming for the second season of the series began. The premiere of the new episodes began on April 5, 2021.
On April 29, 2021, the premiere of the film about the film "Beetles-2" took place on TNT. Behind the scenes", in which the creative producers, screenwriters of the project Maxim Peshkov and Sergey Notary officially announced the renewal of the series for a third season.
Filming for the third season began on June 12, 2022. The season premiere took place on December 5, 2022 at 20:00 on TNT. The new episodes were released from Monday to Thursday at 20:30. The season was announced by TNT as the final season.
In May 2024, filming began for the fourth season, titled "New Bugs".
The final fourth season premiered on TNT on December 16, 2024. The new episodes aired from Monday to Thursday at 20:00.
On February 28, 2025, the series was officially renewed for a feature film, which is scheduled to premiere in 2026. In 2026, a full-length feature film will be released. But the Fifth season will be released in 2026.
