Zone 19 (Ro-Portuguese: Zona 19, Sebelstian: Zòni 19) is one of the 32 zones of Port Sebelsti, the planned executive and legislative capital of Sebelsti. It is one of the first residential zones of the city, and housed some of the first permanent residents of the city when it opened to the public in 2004. It is one of the most upscale neighborhoods in the city, and one of the most desirable. It is located west of Avenida da República (Republic Avenue), and the Zona Central (Central Zone).
It is widely considered to be an edge city.
History
The zone was first established on the New Capital Master Plan of 2002, originally intended to be a low density zone, but density based zoning was removed in the revised 2003 plan, allowing for a high density area mixed in with less dense detached housing in the mix. The area broke ground in 2003, with the first houses being sold in June 2004.
