Yellowville is a community in outer Yellowbrick County, Yellowbrick, 8 miles (13 km or 46 kilo-studs) north-west of Downtown Yellowbrick. It has a population of 2,030 as of 2014, making it the smallest town in Yellowbrick County. Due to its proximity to the city, Yellowville is sometimes considered a suburb of Yellowbrick, but it is officially recognized as a seperate place.
Yellowville lies very close to the summit of the Yellowbrick Supervolcano, which makes it popular with thrill-seekers from around the world. Despite the volcano being inactive and expected to remain so for thousands of years, lava plumes still erupt from underneath the volcano, which makes the volcano a target for photographers who often capture spectacular shots of lava erupting from the summit of the volcano. However, this lava poses absolutely no threat to the community of Yellowville or Yellowbrick as a whole.
