Yellowbrick is a large city in northeastern West ROBLOXia, about 722 miles (1,161 km or 4.15 mega-studs) south of Blockfield and is the capital of the Yellowbrick region of Western ROBLOXia, which is famous for its natural terrain.
Geography
Yellowbrick lies in the eastern part of the Yellowbrick Valley, a large valley in West ROBLOXia created during the last ice age. The city itself was built on top of Yellowbrick Caldera, an exctinct caldera connected to the Yellowbrick Supervolcano, which has not erupted in millennia and will not do so for several more. Much of Yellowbrick was built on top of the caldera, but just like in Blockfield, some suburbs are built on surrounding hills and mountains.
The climate in Yellowbrick is continental, and is the same as most other surrounding cities. In summer, Yellowbrick is one of the hottest places in West ROBLOXia, with temperatures sometimes reaching 107oF(42oC), while in winter, Yellowbrick is the single coldest place in the country, with temperatures plunging to a low of -44oF(-42oC). During the summer months, thunderstorms are not uncommon in the city. These thunderstorms can produce heavy rain, bright lightning and the occasional tornado.
Transport
Yellowbrick lies in the Yellowbrick Valley, and since highways are hard to build in the region, all roads connecting the city are normal roads. West ROBLOXian Route 341 passes through the city and ends at Blockfield, where it becomes the Highway 341. However, there is a train station in the downtown area and Yellowbrick Airport lies just over 20 miles (32 km or 115 kilo-studs) from the city. Yellowbrick Airport is not even close to the largest airport in Western Robloxia, but it can handle over eight million passengers per year, which is almost twice of the Yellowbrick region's population.
