Whitehaven Trail is an multi-use rail trail that is ranging from Robloxity to Brickland. It was constructed in 1980s on ex-C&O (nee-Brookhaven & Robloxia Railroad) and was meant to provide snowmobile access during the winter.
History
Whitehaven Line (1891-1983)

The line from Robloxity to Brickland was constructed in 1891 by Brookhaven & Robloxia Railroad Co. This line was named Whitehaven Line when it's construction began. In mid 1950s, Brookhaven & Robloxia Railroad became part of Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad. Speaking of mid 1950s, automobiles were increasing as well. C&O ended their passenger service in 1965 from Robloxity to Brickland. In 1983, the freight service came to an end as C&O abandoning its line from Robloxity to Bloxburg. The removal took place in early summer.
Whitehaven Trail
After removal of the tracks, people discuss purposed plan for placing rail-trail on removed tracks. The construction of the trail began on February 1984. It only take two years to complete the trail. It was finally opened on 1986. The joggers and bikers have come to grand opening ceremony.
