Waterfront Station is a historic regional rail and former intercity railway station located on the waterside area of Robloxity. It was constructed between 1909 and 1913 by the Bloxburg, Bloxorado And Bloxissouri Railroad (Triple B Line), to allow its code-shared trains with the Pan-Robloxian Railway to access Robloxity, instead of using the existing station closer downtown, the Robloxity Main Station, which was constructed and used by the Eastern Robloxia Railroad Co. (later merged into the Trans-Robloxian Railway in 1974). Over the years the station was gradually downsized and only 2 of the former 14 platforms remain today. Much of the station has been converted to a freight yard which is owned by Bloxington Northern. Today, it is a station on the East Robloxia Interstate Commuter Train, and previously on the BN CommuterLink from 1988-2018.
History
The Triple B Line, (The Bloxburg, Bloxorado And Bloxissouri Railroad) begun taking up codesharing agreements with the newly formed Pan-Robloxian Railway, starting in the year 1908. They did not want to pay the ERR to use the existing main station, so they decided to construct a new one. An overhang was built over the easternmost part of the station some time after Roblox War I, and a office building was constructed and served as a post office headquarters until 1928, when it was purchased by the PRR and served as its headquarters, until 1956. In the year 1982, all rail transport was moved to the Main Station, about a mile away. In 1983, a floating pier was constructed for the ferry, and in 1988, BN CommuterLink opened operating much of the same route that the modern day East Robloxia Interstate Commuter Train.
