Vermillion is a small micronation inside of Railroadsia, located near Fareo City. It was founded as a small settlement in the early 1600s, and remained in Bloxian hands until the late 1970s.
History
Colonization (1639-1937)
In 1639, the settlement of Vermillia was created by Ro-Danish settlers. It was intended to be a small port city for trade and exporting goods such as slate. It was taken by the Bloxians in 1886, renamed to Vermillion, and served as a small fort for the rest of the 19th century. When Railroadsia was given independence, Vermillion as well as a few other small pieces of land remained in Bloxian hands, as well as having many Ro-Swiss and Romarkian settlers.
Cultural Diffrences (1937-1964)
Due to its cultural differences with Railroadsia, the two were separate from the start. Translators often lived near or in Vermillion to earn money from traders entering the port.
RW2 Expulsion (1939-1945)
During Roblox War 2, many citizens in Railroadsia began to hate the Romarkian citizens living in Vermillion, and would often attack and riot against them. On the 7th of September, 1944, several Romarkians were killed in a deadly fire caused by a devastating riot, and causing thousands in damages. This resulted in several lawsuits, arrests, and deportations to Bloxia Kingdom.
Wishes for freedom (1965-1977)
Vermillion remained apart of the Bloxia Kingdom, but was straying further and further away. Several letters and petitions were formed for Vermillion to separate as its own nation or apart of Railroadsia.
