Veblox Moon

Veblox Moon was Velkia's only proper natural moon. It was quite bright on a clear night, able to cast pale shadows. It was the second brightest object in the Velkian sky after the Roblox Sun. RASA astronomers have found out the existence of this moon recently. It is found out that this moon was made out of purple (hot pink ) crystals and was shaped like a super-ellipsoid^[1] with ${\displaystyle n=\frac{2}{3}}$.

Description:

From space, the moon of Veblox Moon appeared as a purple super-ellipsoid. Its surface had vast bodies of purple crystals.

A variety of grapevine-like purple crystals grew in the Veblox Moon. However, those types of crystal are not visible from space. There are no local fauna besides purple crystal birds grapevine-like purple crystals.

There are also no cities on the Veblox Moon.

The moon never possessed any natural life besides those grapevine-like purple crystals and the purple crystal birds.

History

Not much is known about the history of the Veblox Moon other than its eventual destruction, legacy, and future.

Destruction

Veblox Moon was destroyed and shattered like a crystal when it got too close to Velkia, passing by the Roche Limit. The destruction of Veblox Moon initially left only a purple crystal field behind before the purple crystal field started to orbit, forming the Rings of Velkia. For everything that had ever inhabited, they all died due to explosive decompression.

Legacy

The destruction of Veblox Moon would become a stark reminder for future generations about the existence of the Roche Limit, and in Robloxiapedia, for those who ignored the Roche Limit, it would be seen as the bureaucrat as "unrealistic". As such, purple crystals from the Veblox Moon would be treated as proof from the scientific community that the Roche Limit exists in the Robloxian universes. Unfortunately for collectors, crystals of the Veblox Moon are treated as property of Roblox per the Outer Space Treaty of 1967, and as such, anyone caught selling anything made out of those purple crystals, which are known as priceless commodities, would face the punishment as determined to the fullest extent of the treaty's legislation.

To preserve the legacy further, the moon has been decided by the Roblox Astronomical Union (RAU) to have its name kept. The Velkia Moon should be used as its alternate name. However, there exists an ongoing petition to have it renamed to Cryoia.

Future

In an upcoming space mission, a flotilla of rockets will follow a temporarily tracked remnant of a purple crystal orbiting around the Rings of Velkia. Currently awaiting the United Roblox Countries approval is that Robloxian astronauts will manage to use their political connections to take scrap from the Rings of Velkia to be used to construct a new space station around the planet or a new space station's incineration. However, after it was revealed that Robloxians who touch the scrap from the rings succumb to a poisonous infection resulting in their arms growing with the only cure being amputation and bionic arm replacement, the plan to take scrap had been scrapped.

Natural Life:

Veblox Moon hosted a population of grapevine-shaped purple crystals that were known to be composed of the same material and colored the same coloration the moon is made out of and colored. Even if this resulted in ambiguity from the purple crystallized birds that inhabit the moon, they never changed color nor their material composition. The population never adopted any type of government, meaning that the government is an anarchy.

The Veblox Moon's living crystals and birds grew continuously until they died of old age or until something caused them to shrink significantly; the birds also learned in tandem. There was no education required for the living crystals, but the birds had to learn from the smaller birds until they reach a certain size.

The Veblox Moon also had a sexual tradition. Whenever two living crystals or birds collided with each other at a slow enough speed, they would shrink slightly as their crystal shards are ejected from their tops and eventually touching the purple crystal at the bottom, where it would fixate in place and start growing. The crystal shards would then regenerate, typically in 36 weeks. However, if those crystals and birds collided at a faster speed, it is likely that those crystals and birds would both die as a result.

Every purple crystal bird would feed on a purple crystal that is shorter than the bird itself. When a purple crystal is fully consumed, the purple crystal is used to regenerate body parts. Occasionally, a purple crystal bird would look itself in a purple crystal and do some activity likened to flexing in Robloxians before eating the purple crystal. It is optional tradition for some purple crystal birds to chop down some purple crystals if the crystal is longer than the bird itself, hoping to have a purple crystal touch a purple crystal nearby. The purple crystal bird by tradition might get disappointed if the process results in nothing.
