So if slurs are banned, does that mean things people call slurs (but aren't defined as such by the English language) such as "cl*nker "and "j*b" are banned too?
Think about it: what even defines a slur in the first place? According to the Marriam-Webster dictionary a slur (as a noun, and definition A) is:
an insulting or disparaging remark or innuendo
Or
a shaming or degrading effect
Slurs are also disrespectful and offensive. But what is the limit to this? If I were offended by the word "Devious" then would it make it a slur? How about if 100,000 people were offended by the same word? Would it become a slur or a bad word?
Going deeper into the "cl*nker" part, if somehow AI became offended by this word, then would it become a slur to them? HMMMMMMMMMM
