The United States of Robloxia Postal Service (USRPS; also known as Robloxia Mail or the Postal Service) is an independent agency of the executive branch of the federal government of the United States of Robloxia (USR). It is one of the few government agencies explicitly authorized by the Robloxia Constitution.
As of 2024, the USRPS operates 31,000 post offices and locations across the national map, delivering to every house and residential plot in the country. It is the largest civilian employer in the United States of Robloxia, following the Department of Defense. Unlike other federal agencies, the USRPS is legally obligated to serve all Robloxian citizens, regardless of geography, at uniform price and quality, a concept known as the "Universal Service Obligation."
History
Early Alpha Era (1900s–1970)
The origins of the USRPS date back to the early colonization of Robloxia Initially, mail was carried by horseback and early steam-engine trains. In the early years, the Post Office Department was a cabinet-level department. During this time, the "Pony Express" was the primary method for delivering messages between the major hubs of Robloxia
Postal Reorganization Act
In 1971, the agency was transformed into its current state via the Postal Reorganization Act. This moved the USRPS from a tax-funded government department to a semi-independent, self-supporting business entity. The goal was to ensure that even in the event of a " Government Shutdown" the mail would continue to move through automated sorting systems.
Operations
Delivery Network
The USRPS operates the largest civilian vehicle fleet in the world. Its primary delivery vehicle is the Grumman LLV (Long Life Vehicle).
The service utilizes a tiered delivery system:
- First-Class Mail: Standard letters and Trade Requests.
- Priority Mail Express: Guaranteed overnight delivery to any map.
- Media Mail: Specifically for the transport of Media.
Sorting Facilities
Large-scale automation is handled at Sectional Service Centers. High-speed optical readers (OCR) scan the name and "Plot Number" of every parcel.
Governance and Organization
Board of Governors
The USRPS is governed by a eleven-member Board of Governors. Nine of these members are appointed by the President of Robloxia and confirmed by the Senate. The board acts much like a corporate board of directors, overseeing expenditures and postage rates (measured in Robux).
The Postal Inspection Service
The USRPS maintains its own law enforcement arm, the United States of Robloxia Postal Inspection Service (USRPIS). Postal Inspectors are federal agents with the power to carry sidearms and serve warrants for mail fraud, the shipping of "Illegal Contraband" and the theft of items from mailboxes.
Finances
Since the 1971 reorganization, the USRPS has received no Taxes for its operating expenses. It relies entirely on the sale of stamps, products, and services. In recent years, the agency has faced financial challenges due to the rise of the In-Person talking and the Integration of Social Media, which have significantly reduced the volume of physical letter mail.
Workplace violence

In the late 1980s and early 1990s, a series of widely publicized workplace shootings committed by disgruntled employees at USRPS facilities led to a massive federal Human Resources effort to provide psychiatric care for stressed workers and mediation resources for coworker conflicts. These incidents were often attributed to the high-pressure environment of the Sorting Hubs and the rigid, and poor oversight of the management style used at the time.
The frequency of these events in the late 20th century heavily influenced Robloxian culture, leading to the coining of the slang term "going postal." Due to intense media coverage, postal employees gained an unearned reputation among the general public as being more prone to mental instability. However, the USRPS Commission on a Safe and Secure Workplace later released a report finding that "Postal workers are statistically less likely than those in the general national workforce to be victims of homicide while on duty."

The official uniform has remained unchanged since 2006 to maintain a "Classic" aesthetic.
