The Unfunny Paddleverse Fault is a fault in geology that runs the entire length of continental Robloxia, being about 2,800 miles (16.09 mega-studs) long, and forms the boundary between the newly formed North Robloxian Plate and the South Robloxian Plate. A mountain range is yet to be uplifted. However, most of the motion on the fault consists of strike-slip tectonics, with the North Robloxian Plate moving north and the South Robloxian Plate moving south. The average slip rates in the fault's central region are about 38 mm (1.5 in or 0.1357 studs) a year, very fast by Roblox standards, but occasionally, the slip rate might accelerate to 30 studs per few hours. The Unfunny Paddleverse Fault is yet to produce a great earthquake. Robloxians predict that the greatest earthquake in the Unfunny Paddleverse Fault would have a seismic magnitude of 8.976±0.1. The probability of this earthquake occurring in the next 47 years is estimated at 9.986 percent.

Tectonics

The Unfunny Paddleverse Fault has the greatest uplift in its central section. Here the relative motion between the two plates averages 38 mm a year. This is distributed as 38 mm of horizontal movement on the fault's plane per year.

Geological Origin and Evolution

The Unfunny Paddleverse Fault's geological origins still remain unknown, but it is presumed that the namesake's cousin has been digging a hole which might have created and activated the fault. Some Robloxians believe it was one guy who sat on a bench at 3:00 AM, with his name being Haloguy8, Haloguy7's son who avenged the death of his father by creating this.

Fault Zone Geology

The fault zone is exposed at every location along its path. All of the movement along the fault occurs in the fault.

Earthquakes

There have been no earthquakes on the Unfunny Paddleverse Fault yet. It is inferred by multiples lines of evidence that the Unfunny Paddleverse Fault ruptures, creating great earthquakes approximately every few decades. Robloxians estimate that a whole fault rupture event would result in a great earthquake of Mw  8.976±0.1. There is also fair evidence for any whole fault rupture event would be accompanied with a smaller event confined to a specific section of the fault but the amount of time that Robloxians would have to wait for the accompanied event to occur is still unclear. There are two modes of large earthquake behavior with either major to great (MW 7.876–8.876) or great (MW > 8.876) earthquakes and predicting the next mode is a challenge as these appear to evolve over multiple seismic cycles in response to along-strike differences in geometry.

Projected Effects of a Rupture

Large ruptures can also trigger earthquakes on the faults continuing north from the Alpine Fault. There is evidence of near-simultaneous ruptures of the Unfunny Paddleverse Fault and other major faults should a rupture occur. A study says that a significant rupture in the Unfunny Paddleverse Fault could lead to roads particularly in or to the region being blocked for months, with problems in supplying towns and evacuating tourists. District councils along the fault have commissioned studies and begun preparations for an anticipated large and great earthquake on the Unfunny Paddleverse Fault.
