Turtos Airport (RATA: TRT, RCAO: TTRT) is a regional airport located on the islands of Turtos, Telamon Islands. It is located 3.2 miles away from the city of Noblox (population about 30,000). It is a regional, public use airport managed by the city government. The airport was opened some time in the year 1959 and is mainly used by general aviation, and air taxi services to other islands. There is a TR$ 80,000 budget to improve the airport’s facilities, build a new hangar, and expand the parking facilities.
Facilities and Aircraft
The airport covers a total area of 125 acres at an elevation of 40 feet above mean sea level. There is one asphalt runway designated 1/19. In 2024, the airport had a total of 4,207 takeoffs and landings, 68% being general aviation, 20% being commercial air taxi services, 4% being military, 6% cargo, and 2% being unknown, according to government sources. There is one terminal building constructed in 1962 and contains three check-in counters, one security checkpoint with two lanes, and a waiting area. There is no control tower.
