On December 19, 2018, a plane, operating Trans-Robloxian Airlines Flight 553 took off from an unknown airport. The conditions were stagnant. As the plane ascended, the conditions remained stagnant, being normal conditions. The pilots and cockpit crew fell asleep, believing that the autopilot will take care of them. However, the autopilot did not take care of them, and the plane landed on Brookhaven, not on its international airport runway but on what appeared to look like an international airport runway. Following the crash, Robloxia decided to generically name all the pilots and the cockpit crew.
Flight History:
Trans-Robloxian Flight 553 originated from an unknown airport, with first-time cockpit crew and pilots onboard. The aircraft in question was unknown. All of the passengers on board were Robloxian. There were 18 Robloxians onboard, one of which died, two of which injured, and 15 of which survived.
Aftermath:
Everyone onboard Trans-Robloxian Airlines Flight 553 who survived were escorted by the pilots and the cockpit crew away from the crash site. The injured Robloxians were taken to the Saint Luke hospital. The dead Robloxian was buried by the pilots and the cockpit crew in Brookhaven Cemetery, under the epitaph "Autopiloted too close to the sun"(a subtle reference to a mythological person)
An investigation started on the same day and ended three hours later, when it was decided that the autopilot was culpable and the pilots and the cockpit crew were innocent. Previously, it was decided that the autopilot was innocent but the pilots and the cockpit crew were culpable.
Following this, the autopilot on the plane was updated to the latest version, which "fixed a bug in which the autopilot may use a road as a runway". The pilots and the cockpit crew were warned by the Robloxia Aviation Administration that autopilot in the planes were still in beta, "must not be used as a trusted pilot unless all the cockpit crew and pilots are busy", and "do not sleep in the job".
