Tobin Arthur Grey (March 21, 1947 – February 14, 2026) was a Robloxian actor and singer who is known for his roles in a variety of films, songs and shows spanning from the 1970s to the early 21st century. Grey was widely labelled as a “versatile” singer who had a high presence during the 1970s and 1980s.
Grey was born on March 21, 1947 at Arbington. He began acting informally in his teenage years, performing in local theater productions in his hometown before moving on to professional work in the late 1960s. Grey made his film debut in 1968, in the film, Here Hate, which had already earned him a considerable amount of recognition. Grey quickly learned singing within 1970 and 1971 contributed to him gaining recognition as a fast learner. In 1972, he had wrote his first song, A Lovely Feast, that had reached number 8 in the billboard hot 100. By 1976, Grey was already considered a “household name”, appearing in both dramas and comedies, often alongside other prominent Robloxian actors of the period. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, he continued appearing in various films, dramas and talk shows which contributed to his reputation. Grey died in February 2026 due to a heart disease that had not been diagnosed earlier.
Early life
Tobin Grey was born on March 21, 1947, at Arbington which was located around the central plains of North Bloxifornia. He was the second oldest of five children born to Harold Grey, a railway technician, and Lillian Grey (née Turner), a part-time librarian. Grey grew up in a middle-class household and his mother frequently introduced him to Robloxian literature. From an early age he had a strong interest in storytelling and had often acted out scenes from novels he read, with his siblings.
Grey attended Arbington School, which was one of the most enrolled schools in the town. Grey had took subjects such as speech and drama as he entered secondary. Grey began participating in small local theater productions by the age of 14 in mid-1961. Grey frequently spent weekends assisting behind the scenes, handling props, adjusting lighting, and observing older actors rehearse in Arbington Community Theater. In 1965, Grey had enrolled in Arbington State College and graduated two years later.
Life and career
Following his graduation in 1965, Tobin Grey began searching for various acting opportunities in theater and newer Robloxian film productions. He spent several years performing in stage plays and supporting roles. In 1968, he made his first film debut in Here Hate as the main character, gaining extreme popularity. By the early 1970s, he began acting in a variety of more films which led him to gain attention by various directors and producers. Grey had taken part in major roles into the mid 1970s in commercially successful drama films. In November 1970, he was starred in the film College, which gained significant recognition and was considered as one of the most popular films of the decade. Between 1970 and 1971, Grey had learnt singing quickly. He made his first song, A Lovely Feast, in 1972, which instantly gained recognition topping 8 in the billboard hot 100. By 1976, a considerable amount of magazines had labelled Grey as a “household name” after making major collaborations with various directors and writers.
His popularity continued into the 1980s as his career was already “well-established” due to his peak being during the 1970s. He starred in several high-profile productions that achieved both critical acclaim and commercial success. Before acting, Grey often spent long sessions studying and researching about his characters. In 1986, he composed the soundtracks for the large-scale film, Bloxy, which was extremely popular worldwide. During the 1990s, Grey became more selective with his roles, appearing less frequently but often appeared in films as slightly older recurring people. By the late 1990s, he largely retired from acting as he wanted his youth years to stay as the “main image”.
Death
Tobin Grey eventually died on March 21, 1947 at his residence at Western Arbington due to a heart disease which had not been diagnosed prior to his death.
