On May 9th, 1998, in an unmarked area of Zacheison Forest, the Bloxburg Valley Special Forces (BVSF) was tasked to clear out a cabin due to suspicions of something that could hold viable intel regarding on foreign opposing forces.
Because of the severity of the situation, the Sierra-7 (referred to as Si-7) squadron was chosen for Operation Snowrunner.
Identity of the opposition
Not much is known about the opposing forces, but it was suspected to be an extremist group intending to hinder the government of Bloxburg Valley.
Timeline
Arrival
At 9:00 AM, Sierra-7 arrived to the location by chopper due east from the intended drop-off point to lower risks of being detected by the opposing force's combatants.
Control
At 9:29 AM, the commander of Sierra-7, ████ Kingston, ordered for two snipers to be at a vantage point, where the Sierra-7 operatives are tasked to get ready to breach the cabins.
Unknowing to them, the opposition force's combatants actually expected them.
Assault
At 9:50 AM, the two Sierra-7 snipers took down five of the opposition force's combatants who were guarding the cabin from the outside, before the rest of the Sierra-7 squadron entered the combat zone, where the opposition force's teams went on full alert and took the Sierra-7 squad by surprise.
Anticipation
At 10:24 A.M, the opposing forces managed to assassinate Commander Kingston and nine members of the Sierra-7 squadron. When Lieutenant Patrick Edison took cover behind a car, he suddenly saw an injured operative, after a brief moment he realized that it was Sergeant K. Daniels trying to take cover.
Edison then commanded the other surviving members of the Si-7 squadron to provide suppressing fire to the opposing forces in an attempt to drag the operative behind the cover and perform first aid, in which Edison managed to complate.
Evacuation
At 11 A.M, Edison then radioed for immediate extraction, which they manage to call it on time as a BVSF attack helicopter arrived and gunned down the opposition force's combatants, clearing the cabin out, and deeming the operation partially successful, leaving the rest for the Bloxburg Intelligence Agency to investigate and make a detailed report on the assault. Lieutenant Edison and Sergeant Daniels then was allowed to return to base for debriefing.
Aftermath
The Sierra-7 squadron was later defunct after the three-hour operation. Because of this, it led to Lieutenant Edison being moved to the Bloxburg Valley Police Department, where he also got promoted to Commissioner in the Police Department as a gift for saving Sergeant Daniels.
Sergeant Daniels later continued to be a part of another Bloxburg Valley Special Forces branch.
