The Roggle+ incident of 2013 was a incident that occured on the popular video-sharing platform. BloxTube. It was caused due to a update where users were being forced to have a Roggle+ account in order to comment on BloxTube videos.

Background

in 2013, BloxTube announced that a update would coming to the platform to make users use the "Roggle+" service, which at the time, only had 200 users and 100 posts. However, instead of promoting the platform directly by advertising it, they decided to promote the platform in a different way by forcing users to create a Roggle+ account in order to make a comment on other Robloxians' videos.

The Incident

The Email

On August 14th, 2013, BloxTubers with an active account were sent an email informing them that they needed to create a Roggle+ account to continue commenting on other Robloxians' videos. Unfortunately, one clause in the email in particular ticked the BloxTube community off as BloxTube threatened to delete BloxTubers who never made a Roggle+ account within 48 hours.

The Protests and Lawsuit

While some BloxTubers initially complied with the threat as it was given and created their Roggle+ account, others immediately decried the threat as unfair and ultimately began a community-wide unification campaign which ultimately and effectively resulted in the infiltration, storming, and raiding of the BloxTube offices while picketing and demanding that the Roggle+ requirement be removed, stressing the Bloxtube employment. When their demands were not met, the former BloxTubers then pulled out their ultimate weapon: the pursuit of legal action in the form of a class action lawsuit filed against BloxTube and Roggle, the owner of BloxTube, citing that its users were subject to "unfair treatment" and this violated the First Amendment of the United States of Robloxia of the Robloxian Constitution, a document that was unfortunately repealed by David Builderman Baszucki on his first day on office in favor of his Terms of Citizenship.

Aftermath

On May 1st, 2014, BloxTube decided to allow BloxTubers without a Roggle+ to comment on videos in a response to their lawsuit loss. For some reason, this made Roggle+ a popular place to comment against the requirement. They also made a public statement saying that they apologize for creating this unfair requirement and it will not be returning. Many BloxTubers celebrated this. However, it came at a cost; as a Roggle+ account was no longer required to make comments on videos, Robloxians started to leave the platform in droves, which eventually led to the platform being deprecated and retired in 2018 as according to Roggle, many users saw no use in it.
