Special Containment Procedures:
RSCP-8204 must remain contained within an airlocked chamber at all times. A minimum of five personnel is required for access, all of whom must be equipped with anti-memetic glasses and Level A Hazmat suits if conducting repairs or cleanup activities within the chamber, and the airlock be securely relocked following entry.
At all times, three individuals are to observe RSCP-8204 for any signs of RSCP-8204-1 activation until the chamber is entirely vacated and relocked.
During an RSCP-8204-1 activation, access to the chamber is strictly prohibited and personnel remaining in the chamber are to promptly evacuate, with the chamber being locked down for a time period of two (2) hours for confirmation that RSCP-8204-1's activation phase has concluded.
All surveillance cameras and optical tools within a 4-meter radius (13 feet) from RSCP-8204's chamber are expected to face interference and later be rendered inoperable during an RSCP-8204-1 activation. To avoid this, all surveillance cameras and optical tools near RSCP-8204's chamber are to be disabled or deactivated at 22:35 and reactivated at 00:35 to avoid interference, any personnel who violates these measures will face a 70,000 dollars damage charges as part of their monthly rentals at Site-647.
No tests, repairs, or cleaning operations are to take place at 22:35 (UTC+2) as said time is the common time window of an RSCP-8204-1 activation.
Description:
RSCP-8204 is an elaborately crafted sarcophagus, that was retrieved from [REDACTED] in [REDACTED] by RSCP personnel on 9/23/2009. Followed reports regarding a mummified corpse emerging from within the sarcophagus. Archaeologists associated with the initial discovery established that this artifact originated from a recently excavated pharaoh's coffin that was said to be buried around 500 BC, within [REDACTED].
Upon opening RSCP-8204, agents found RSCP-8204 to be empty, with only a ceremonial dagger remaining inside. Evaluations of the dagger revealed that it lacked any anomalous properties. The blade of the dagger featured carved inscriptions, including a phrase in Arabic. However, the translation process experienced delays due to the dagger’s condition, leading to some misinterpretations. As of now, translation is currently ongoing with the dagger being secured in Containment Locker 8204 for future usage.
RSCP-8204 is noted to have an activation period, which occurs precisely at 22:35 (UTC+2), lasting between 30 to 35 minutes. This event is referred to as Time Point Activation.
RSCP-8204-1 during activation
During this specified timeframe, RSCP-8204-1 materializes. RSCP-8204-1 is a mummified corpse of an unidentified Robloxian with no identifiable gender, approximately 45 years of age. RSCP-8204-1 is animate and exhibits hostile behavior upon emergence. The entity initially scans its environment with a noticeable awareness, that is viewing her, either directly or through any type of video or optical surveillance.
The responses of RSCP-8204-1 will depend on what perceives it:
- If RSCP-8204-1 detects any video surveillance equipment or optical tools active within 4 meters (13 feet) of its chamber, it will destroy the said equipment by either using distortion or interference.[1]
- If RSCP-8204-1 detects any personnel who saw it directly, it will then proceed to kill them by either forcing them to commit [REDACTED] or invoking a lethal memetic kill agent. Personnel that were within the chamber during RSCP-8204-1’s activation are explicitly ordered to evacuate immediately and to refrain from observing either RSCP-8204 or RSCP-8204-1.
At this time, there is no effective method for containing RSCP-8204-1 without incurring collateral damage. The only way of containment is to wait until the completion of RSCP-8204-1's activation cycle, which will result in RSCP-8204-1 returning to RSCP-8204 with the lid being sealed.
Personnel have reported hearing faint, unidentified whispering sounds within the chamber. This phenomenon is considered normal; however, any alterations in this behavior must be promptly reported to the acting HMCL supervisor.
Addendum Record
Pre-Reclassification
Addendum 8204-01 (12/14/2009): An incident has occurred leading to the loss of five personnel from the Foundation and resulting in estimated damages of $700,000. As of the time this addendum is being written, all activities for RSCP-8204 are suspended until further notice from requests of Dr. Mark and the Site Director of Site-647.
Post-Reclassification
Addendum 8204-02 (3/29/2011): As containment protocols for RSCP-8204 have been deemed unsafe and complex, due to the aggressive nature of RSCP-8204-1 towards anything who has observed it directly. This concern has caused the development of a visual-argument eyepiece named "SCRAM." According to Dr. Mark, this device is based on the now obsolete SCRAMBLE Goggles. The primary objective of this device is when worn, this will neutralize memetic hazards entirely, ensuring that the anomaly's sensory perception does not register the presence of those who had just perceived the anomaly's five senses. Unlike the SCRAMBLE Goggles which lags or doesn't work due to its frame rate in situations, the SCRAM Eyepiece incorporates significant advancements that effectively obscure the hazard while under conditions where frame rates are expected to pause or lag.[2]
Addendum 8204-03 (4/12/2011): After several months of thorough research and analysis, experts have precisely identified the inscription on the dagger. The findings provide a detailed account of the inscription's content as follows:
إذا تم العثور على هذا الخنجر، فإن لعنة الدفن تنهض من بين الأموات لشفاء أولئك الذين يحملونه.
Addendum 8204-04 (5/27/2011): It is believed that at 22:35, RSCP-8204 was interred within the Pyramid of [REDACTED]. However, Dr. Mark and the team of archaeologists involved in the excavation of RSCP-8204 have noted that it remains unclear why RSCP-8204-1 requires a duration of 30 to 35 minutes before it can return to RSCP-8204 after emerging and the hostility to optical tools and those who perceived it.
Addendum 8204-05 (6/23/2011): The investigation into the origins of RSCP-8204 reveals numerous inscriptions indicating that a female pharaoh (presumably identified as RSCP-8204-1) was subjected to a series of curses related to misfortune and the prohibition against being observed. Dr. Mark is particularly intrigued by the notion that the curse of being unviewable is solidly linked to the behavior of RSCP-8204-1, resulting in targeted individuals being attacked by RSCP-8204-1.
Footnotes
- ↑ Currently, the SCRAM eyepiece is the only equipment that could bypass RSCP-8204-1's interference without deactivation.
- ↑ Director [REDACTED] has confirmed that the Foundation has successfully achieved mass production of the SCRAM goggles following comprehensive testing protocols. However, Foundation personnel expressed worries after hearing that this was based on obsolete equipment that was designed to fail.
