The Confederation of Independent Systems is an autocratic confederation from the game Galactic Exploration. It is the main antagonist of the game. The CIS was based on the beach planet of Soniodreavus. It started a war against the Terran Republic, which also controlled Glocioa and Sondarnia at its time. This war was known as the Separatist War, which started in 4 ACE (2503 CE/2503 AD) and ended in 6 ACE. At the end of the war, the CIS collapsed, and it's remains were turned into anarchist lands, which would be annexed by Katarrun or reorganized into independent states.
Declaration of Independence from the Terran Republic
At the time, Terra controlled another planet and two moons - Glocioa (moon), Sondarnia (moon), and Soniodreavus (planet). Separatists raised up around the system, from Soniodreavus to the moon of Koaldas. The separatists declared independence from Terra. It eventually emerged into the First Battle of Soniodreavus, in a Separatist Victory.
Setting up the nation
The CIS declared that it's capital would be an economic central city on Tayshyyk, the farthest planet from Holdestro. Its name was Kutheran City. The ideology of the nation was mainly autocratic, however there were three other ministers of the CIS.
Separatist War
As the separatist war raged on, the CIS allied with the Frozen Legion, a kingdom that shared Tayshyyk. They eventually were renamed to Northern Legion, then the Northern Republic. The CIS and NR banded together and created a large fort on the planet, which eventually was destroyed at the Battle of Tayshyyk. The battle was lost by the CIS and Northern Republic, eventually leading to the end of the war.
