The Brookhaven Border (1985-1999)
The Brookhaven Border was a border that separated the United States of Roblox (USOR) and the Federal Robloxian Commonwealth (Robloxian Republic). The border was created after the invasion of Bloxburg, which owned Brookhaven at the time. The border is the most well-known symbol of the Mid-80s and Early to Late-90s, after a poll was conducted on middle- aged Robloxians in 2013.
Before the Border (1958-1978)
After the successful disintegration of the D.O.R. in 1958, the Guest Democracy would unite with the East and become simply a united 'Roblox.' Following the rest of the 50s, 60s, and early 70s, Roblox was in a stable condition, until Fernando Cortelles, a Robloxian-Aglodooian immigrant, started a communist revolution in Stickmasterluke City, the second-biggest city in eastern Roblox.
The revolution, which would later be known as the 'Red Siege', would become stronger as more and more eastern Robloxians began showing for support for Fernando. Finally, around 1978, a small provisional military would form, pushing back the Robloxian military at an alarming rate.
After this three days long war, President Admin II knew Roblox was split once again. The communist rebellion would soon name itself The Federal Robloxian Commonwealth, better known as the Robloxian Republic.
In 1980, the newly elected Admin III would rename the Democratic Robloxian Union the United States of Roblox (USOR). A standstill at Brookhaven county in Bloxburg would be the border for the rest of the civil war. This standstill would be named 'The Brookhaven Stalemate'.
Formation of the Border (1981-1984)
Following the standstill in 1980, Fernando was preparing to invade more land farther to the West. On November 4th, 1983, Robloxian Republic forces were seen crossing the Bloxburg border and going into North Blocklandia (now apart of Brookhaven). Fortunately, the USOR forces were able to react quickly, engaging in a bloody battle known as the 'Battle for Brookhaven'. This would be the war which would establish the official Brookhaven Border in 1984. The border would cut across the Old Police Station, creating multiple areas for going in and out. The Old Police Station would be the main target of later bombings, one so severe the Police Station had to be rebuilt.
Fernando Cortelles Declares War Once Again (1984)
A year after the formal establishment of the border, Fernando Cortelles announced in a speech:
No border will satisfy me, nor any military will frighten me, for we have the people—the people whom are oppressed by the rich in your country, yes, those people, they are on our side.
— from "To War We Go", Fernando Cortelles, 1984
This speech would start two more great wars, each worse than its previous.
The Brookhaven Blitz (November 23rd, 1984 - December 8th 1984)
The first of the two great wars was the Brookhaven Blitz, which lasted about a month. In this short battle, the Robloxian Republic attempted to capture Bloxburg fully. This move, as Fernando hoped, would give access to important factories and show the USOR that this was a battle to the death, and no stalemate would please the Robloxian Republic.
This failed, however, because Admin III was preparing the USOR for full-out war, and Fernando did not consider the Robloxian Republic was still undeveloped and not ready for war with a full country.
Still, many soldiers down in this blitz because it was a surprise. Because of this, Fernando also managed to capture military vehicles from the USOR.
The Church War (December 27th, 1984 - 1985)
Fighting ensued, and the USOR would now push the Robloxian Republic backwards, with the hopes of forcing off the Robloxian Continent.
This was short-lived, however, after the Robloxian Republic began building up its own military. They eventually pushed back, and caused the USOR to move back past the border and up towards the Brookhaven Church.
This fight, known as the 'Church War' would become the bloodiest battle in Robloxian history, accounts of the war were horrific, and many had to leave their homes because the war was right in their yards. One account even claimed:
The Church, normally pearly white, [now] colored red by blood. I couldn't look anymore, so I turned away and ran.
