The 12 Periastrons of Roblox are a group of colorful and powerful laser swords that were once a myth, until a Robloxian found the red periastron. These mythical swords were said to have otherworldly abilities and if all 12 periastrons were to be combined, it would make the supreme weapon, above all weapons that have ever existed, the Rainbow Periastron, that was so powerful that even the beholder could not handle its almighty strength. The science company of Stellar Science: Research Innovators is currently trying to find 11 of them and bribe the person with the first one to make the Rainbow Periastron.
Most of the swords are futuristic, with various colors and complementary themed accessories. Some Robloxians believe that it was created when lightsabers from the Star Wars or Fortnite universe were teleported to the Robloxian universe, where the met Robloxian laws of physics and transformed into this or from the Earth universe, though the existence of a multiversal connection still remains a hypothetical scientific theory. They have unique abilities when used in Catalog Heaven and some areas, along with a passive light resembling sparkles active when held out. They instantly kill most enemies.
These swords are most often sold as limited unique with original prices ranging from 1,000 to 2,000 Robux. Excluding the Azure Periastron, all of these swords share a common advertisement, starting with the words:
"The sword Robloxians use to fight [creature name] in space."
As of January 23, 2019, there are twelve Periastron swords in the Robloxian avatar shop, with ten being limited unique, one being a regular limited, and one being a broken limited unique. There are also four Periastron crowns, and two other Periastron-themed accessories.
Update
On January 11, 2019, the Robloxian federal government decided to update the Periastron swords software to v2. v2 Periastrons give Robloxians special abilities in certain areas, along with making the non-seasonal collection of Periastrons cause the Robloxian to strike a certain pose when they have R15 genes.
