Usage

A port infobox (sometimes referred to as a portbox) may be used to summarize information about a particular port in a standard manner.

The infobox should be added using the {{Port}} template, as shown below:

Note: When using fields, avoid the ambiguous abbreviation "N/A" or blanking the field, and instead use "unknown" or "none". (See WP: MILMOS#CITE).

Parameters/Fields

  • country – URC recognized country within which the port is located
  • city – URC recognized city within which the port is located
  • state – URC recognized state within which the port is located
  • latitudeDegrees – The latitude, in degrees, within which the port is located.
  • latitudeMinutes – The latitude, in minutes, within which the port is located.
  • nOrS – The hemisphere, either Northern or Southern, within which the port is located.
  • longitudeDegrees – The longitude, in degrees, within which the port is located.
  • longitudeMinutes – The longitude, in minutes, within which the port is located.
  • wOrE – The hemisphere, either Western or Eastern, within which the port is located.
  • URC/LOCODE – The URC/Locode for the port.
  • operatedBy – The operator's name.
  • ownedBy – The owner's name.
  • typeOfHarbor – The type of port.
  • numberOfCargoContainerTerminals – The number of cargo container terminals.
  • numberOfMajorGeneralCargoTerminals – The number of major general cargo terminals.
  • annualCargoTonnage – Annual tonnage of cargo handled at the port.
  • annualContainerVolumeInTEUs – Annual number of TEUs moved onto or off vessels.
  • annualRevenue – Annual revenue of the port.
  • netIncome – Net income of the port.
  • economicValue – Economic value of the port.
  • attributableJobs – The number of attributable jobs at the port.
  • draftDepthInFeet – Maximum depth available within the port.
