Early in the production process, a different version of the episode's script than the one that ultimately aired would have been utilized. In that version, Sophie would have been the only character the program followed, and the other characters would not have been given as much attention. The script was significantly altered as a result of requests that Willis assist her. In addition, it was said that the working title for the episode had been "Sophie's Job" at one point. The title for the episode is said to have changed multiple times.
"Sir, Sir, Sir, Sir" received mixed to mostly positive reviews from critics, praising the humor and storytelling. The episode received a total Nielsen rating of 4.64.
Plot
One week after the last episode, Sophie wakes up, ventures outside, and strolls through the community. Sophie brightens and takes a little journey to a woodland after finding that the exterior is more beautiful than she anticipated. She returns home after spending the entire morning and afternoon strolling around the forest with a group of locals, but not before running across Willis again, who is with his pals and is sharing his story about meeting Sophie. The two of them begin to converse, and Willis mentions to Sophie that he would help her land her first job. Sophie becomes a little frightened and leaves, telling Willis she was only going to use the bedroom when, in fact, she is returning to the hotel. She then goes to bed, but due of Willis's employment, she is unable to fall asleep, so she chooses to merely open the window and turn on some calming music. After a few days pass, she makes the decision to speak with Willis about her new position. Following their conversation, Willis promised to assist Sophie in landing her first job.
His original choice was to work as a cashier at a food firm, but Sophie balked after giving it some thought. Willis also wants her to choose a job as a fisher catcher. In this position, instead of capturing fish in a row as it is done in the village, the fisher catcher must drag a companion into the water so they may scoop up some fish with a bucket. Sophie becomes bewildered and angry at hearing this. Last but not least, Willis chooses for her to work as a fireman, a position he believed would be harmless. Sophie, however, resisted accepting the position. Willis gave up after that and let Sophie make her own decisions. Sophie, on the other hand, had an idea and grabbed hold of Willis; her query was to guess which job she had been secretly hoping for all along. Willis' sitting area is what she initially thinks about when she sees him. Willis saw herself at the wheel of a car, implying that she aspires to work as a taxi driver. Willis' incorrect response was revealed to him by Sophie. Willis guesses once more in response to this, choosing to ride a horse or another animal, but Sophie again corrects him.
After some time, Sophie made the decision to accompany him to a plane festival, where Willis eventually understood that she intended to board a plane. Once more, Sophie argued that his response was incorrect. Willis, who is obviously perplexed, decides to follow her onto an airplane, where many others are shooting pictures. Then Sophie takes him into the cockpit, where Willis at last comes to the realization that she wants to fly the aircraft rather than just ride in it. Sophie grinned and said that she wanted to fly the plane rather than ride it, which was the perfect response. Sophie was horrified to learn that the assignment to ride the jet would cost her a total of $1,000. Willis allows Sophie to take the position of an airline pilot despite her fast thought of another. Willis and Sophie make some money over a three-month period, and at the conclusion of the episode, Willis has successfully persuaded Sophie to take her first flight in a long time. Sophie flying the plane brings the episode to a close.
Production
"Sir, Sir, Sir, Sir" was directed by Thomas Alexander, written from a screenplay by Esther Spencer and produced by Kobayashi Gordon and Angus Kennedy. It first aired on the children's programming network Avast Television on January 21, 2016. During the production of the episode "A New Person Is Here," Angus had ideas for a follow-up. In a pitch conference with the producers, he stated that the sequel "would be focused" on Sophie alone and not on the other characters—with the exception of Willis. His mother gave him the concept for the episode's narrative after forcing him to choose occupations he didn't want to before he started the series. The episode's writing was originally assigned to Angus early in production, but Thomas Alexander apparently declined and chose to become the director with Esther Spencer as the writer. Angus had originally been scheduled to write the episode. Kobayashi Gordon and Angus Kennedy worked together to create the whole episode. This episode served as Gordon's debut as a producer. He acknowledged the difficulty of creating an animated television episode but claimed that with Angus's assistance, he was able to "become a master" of the task. Gordon would later serve as a co-producer for each and every episode from 2017 to 2026.
Esther Spencer intended to provide the audience with some information while she was writing the episode's screenplay, and she accomplished this by having Sophie try to predict Willis's career goals. Prior to the pitch meeting, Angus said that Sophie would have been the main focus of the episode in a very early draft of the screenplay, rather than Willis of the other characters. The following narrative, which is similar to the final version but with significant modifications, would have seen Sophie seeking to find a new job, according to Angus in a podcast dated June 9, 2018, however with some substantial alterations. After the previous episode, the storyline would have happened the next day. However, when he offered the idea to the producers, they didn't see much "hope" for the episode. As a result, it was agreed that Willis should assist her rather than having her do the tasks on her own after studying the final version of the previous episode. A song that was proposed during the meeting was later dropped by Angus before the producers could decide whether or not to use it. Before being given its final name, the episode's title allegedly underwent multiple changes. "Sophie's Job" was the working name for it. Beginning on September 2, 2015, animation on the episode continued until December 21, 2015, when it was handed over to the producers for screening.

The humor and narrative in "Sir, Sir, Sir, Sir" received generally favorable to mixed reviews from audiences and critics. The episode did have several small to large issues, though, ranging from its characters to its little running time. According to reviewers, the duration ought to have been extended to give the characters adequate screen time. Hannah Adams of FOX Kids awarded the episode a 7 out of 10 rating, complimenting it for its "funny" comedy and its narrative, claiming that the plot was the finest aspect of the show, along with the animation, but criticizing the length of the duration and also saying that the "character development between Willis and Sophie wasn't working as well as it should have". CNN's Michael Stone praised the episode for its animation, humor, and plot. He added: "I think it would have been a bit better if the overall episode was focused only Willis and Sophie, in which does happen, but for most of the episode, it just them talking about random things that viewers didn't want to hear and that can get pretty boring within minutes of showcasing." Its opening sequence has also drawn criticism for being superfluous and having little bearing on the main narrative.
Hannah Adams awarded the episode a 6 out of 10, stating that it is not great but also not terrible. She suggested seeing the season's first episode instead in her review.
The episode has been dubbed the "weakest" of the season by Robloxians fans. The episode, according to viewers, is the worst of the entire series. Even yet, "Sir, Sir, Sir, Sir" has grown to be some of the most well-liked episodes of the show.
