Silverton City, also known as Silverton, SV for short (pronounced as sil•vr•tn), is a city situated near Monarch Bay along the central coast of Bloxburg Valley in Robloxia. It is a combined city-county, formerly a part of Monarch Bay County until 1977. It is a key component of the expansive Silverton Metropolitan Area, encompassing approximately 502 mi² (1,300.17 km²) (equivalent to 454,941 mega studs²). Positioned directly south of San Bloxington, Silverton boasted a population of 9,628,937 individuals according to the 2024 census.

The city is renowned for its stunning vistas of numerous beaches and bays, particularly the Telamon Ocean. However, its claim to fame lies in the Silver Caverns. These caverns collectively yield thousands of pounds of gold each month. With over 1.3 million daily visitors, nearly everyone leaves with a piece of gold, attracting many residents to settle there. The city's significant role in gold, silver, and oil production is another draw. Silverton welcomes an average of 2.5 million tourists daily and a staggering 912.5 million annually, solidifying its status as one of the world's most visited destinations. With a GDP of ⏣52.925 billion ($635.1 million), Silverton surpasses neighboring cities like Sacramento, San Bloxington, and Paradise. In 2018, Silverton's GDP accounted for 13.5% of Robloxia's total GDP, thanks in part to the iconic Grande Tower, the tallest building on the West Coast, situated in the heart of the city.

The city was first discovered in 1849, during the Gold Rush. More than 80,000 robloxians migrated to central Robloxia, establishing towns such as Sacramento and Murtlegand. However, by the late 1880s, most of the gold had been found and it would take several years for more to be discovered. Nevertheless, significant amounts of gold, silver, and even oil were still present in Silverton, which led to its name. This sparked a wave of immigration and the first major influx of people into Silverton, with 120,000 citizens arriving every other month. By 1900, Silverton's population had surpassed that of San Bloxington, Byron, and even Sacramento.

Etymology

Contrary to the common belief that Silverton was named after the abundance of silver in the area, the city was actually named after its first mayor, Roderick Silver, in 1884. After his passing in 1909, his son took over as mayor but was tragically assassinated on his second day in office. Subsequently, the Smith family predominantly held the position of mayor, leading to the neglect of the legacies of Roderick and Jayden Silver.

History

Ancient Tribes

The ancient Paleo-Robloxians embarked on a journey to the Bloxmericas in 16500 BC, establishing sixteen tribes across North Bloxmerica. However, from 14000 to 2000 BC, no tribes settled in the Silverton region, with the nearest tribe, Roblak-Noton of Broc-Heeva, residing on an island two miles away. By 1800 BC, many tribes banded together to form civilizations like Tatook, Satak-Roben, Inoguise, and Tronians. A fierce war erupted between the power-hungry Inoguise and the protective Tronians, drawing all tribes into the conflict and preventing settlers from occupying the Southwest coast.

Nevertheless, the situation took a turn when a widespread illness called gorblox emerged in Broc-Heeva around 600 BC. This illness resulted in bone mutations, often resulting in amputation. Those afflicted with the disease were exiled from the coast in search of a new place to settle. Over the course of three centuries, over 2,000 "Gor-blocks" left Broc-Heeva and established themselves in the Silverton Area. As time passed, the population grew, and agricultural and trade activities flourished, ultimately leading to the rise of the Hestios civilization.

Settlement Era

The initial Paleo-Robloxian who established a life in Hestios was Tatumasek. Tatumasek resided in Broc-Heeva for a span of twelve years until being diagnosed with gorblox. Faced with uncertainty, doctors advised him to depart the island to prevent the spread of the disease. After bidding farewell to his parents, he embarked on his journey. Shortly thereafter, he stumbled upon a vast bay area and numerous plains. Setting up camp, he gradually constructed a sizable house for himself. Despite his youth, Tatumasek possessed a passion for crafting. He began crafting a slanted pipe on the land, connecting his bathroom area to the bay. Another pipe was created on the opposite side, allowing water from the bay to flow into his bathroom. He used this as a toilet and shower.

Subsequently, an increasing number of individuals began to join him, as they too were afflicted by the same incurable illness. He took the initiative to teach them how to develop various inventions for their households. By 590 BC, a community of over thirty individuals had formed. Tatumasek, utilizing iron, devised an indoor kitchen that featured a campfire and an iron cooking table functioning as an oven, while also extending pipes throughout his home to create a sink. Additionally, he collected snow from the mountain summits and stored it in a container to serve as a cooler. Over time, many others would learn from and exchange their ideas. By 200 BC, the population of Hestios had grown to over 3,000 residents. Distinct from much of the world, they experienced what they referred to as the Silver Age, which commenced in 120 BC and lasted until approximately 1250 AD. This era was characterized by the extensive use of silver and gold for a variety of purposes, including weaponry, household items, trophies, architecture, plumbing, cutlery, furniture, and more. Even their currency was made of gold, earning Hestios the moniker "City of Gold," a title they truly embodied.

Colonization

In March 1291, a contingent of sailors discovered the land known as Robloxia. Their findings were reported to the king, which initiated the colonization of the Bloxmericas. Various groups, including the Rogaulians, Dush, Ro British, and Ro Spanish, established dominance over present-day Robloxia, Bloxanada, Bloxico, and South Bloxmerica. The Ro British established thirteen distinct colonies within the territory referred to as Bloxlina (divided into North and South), Central Robloxia, New Georgeland (now Eastern Robloxia), Reorgia, Balabama, Bloxuisiana, Bloxarkansas, Bloxas, Blocahoma, New Bloxico, Brickland, Rovada, and Bloxburg Valley. Hestios, located in Bloxburg Valley, was notably the least populated colony. Fortunately, legislation was enacted in the Colonies to protect the Natives from harm. The citizens of Hestios continued to advance their society while the world around them evolved. Eventually, the Colonies would sever their ties with Ro Britain and declare independence, forming the Robloxian Empire.

Mass Extinction

In 1544, Ro Britain succumbed to communism, transforming into Bloxland, also known as the Korbloxian Empire. Subsequently, they expanded their territory by conquering various states in Robloxia in 1545, including Bloxburg Valley. By early 1662, war general Charles Williams recognized the land's value and sought to claim all its gold with his soldiers. However, the Hestians, many of whom were former soldiers or descendants of soldiers, were well-equipped with gold weapons and skilled in combat. The conflict between the two sides erupted in 1663, with the Korbloxians holding the upper hand in terms of numbers, weaponry, and military tactics. Despite the Hestians resorting to guerrilla warfare strategies, they proved to be no match for Williams and his army. The war concluded in 1667, with Williams's forces seizing approximately 600 million pounds (272.1 million kilograms) of gold, valued at around ⏣17.7 trillion ($21.2 billion). Tragically, a smallpox outbreak ravaged Hestios, claiming the lives of the remaining 2,200 citizens by 1710.
